Expository Essays
Expository essays can be of different types, the only thing which unites them is that they are used to explain some thing or object. To succeed in writing good explanatory essays you should follow several definite rules.
First decide upon the topic for your explanatory essay. You should take special attention to it, since this will make almost 50% of the whole process of writing.
Do not choose very complicated topic, otherwise it will take you lots of time to investigate the problem and then to comment upon it, since your duty as a writer to speak freely on the subject.
Think about the thesis statement it should not be too broad or too short, you should find a happy medium. This will help you develop your thoughts in a proper way.
Most expository essays contain introductory part. You state here a problem of the essay and possible ways of its solution, that is the methods, which you are going to use when writing your expository essay.
Another very important point to make a good expository essay is the consecutive narration. This means that you should stick to the point and not deviate from the main subject, that is you should not make any unnecessary digressions. The more specific you are the better.
At the end of your essay you are to put the conclusions. This means that you should state what results you have come to, what purposes were stated and whether they have been reached or not.
Then reread your essay and correct everything, which you find inappropriate for this.
